Chromaissance — Original Oil Painting
24 × 36 inches | Oil on wood | Original, one of a kind
Change isn’t the end of the story—it’s where the color comes in.
Chromaissance is an original work from the Rewilding Collection—a celebration of the strange, beautiful color that can emerge when life refuses to stay the way it was.
Against a moody field of indigo, violet and midnight blue, a feather erupts in electric pink, turquoise, gold, crimson and green. What began as an exploration of change became something brighter: a reminder that transformation isn't always quiet, graceful or colorless.
Sometimes becoming looks a little wild.
There are seasons when change strips things away. And then there are moments when you begin to notice what is appearing in their place.
New colors. New possibilities. New pieces of yourself.
Chromaissance was painted from that place.
Its name is a collision of chroma—the intensity or purity of color—and renaissance—rebirth or revival. Together, Chromaissance became my word for what happens when transformation doesn't simply return us to who we were before, but reveals something more vivid.
This painting is part of Rewilding, a collection exploring freedom, identity, change and the sometimes messy process of finding your way back to yourself.
Different is a beautiful place to be.
